Court Hearing Monday Over Hospital Employees Getting New Jobs In The Fox Valley

A hearing is scheduled today (Monday) to decide whether or not a group of medical specialists will be allowed to change hospitals in the Fox Valley.

The Appleton Post Crescent reports that a judge last week blocked a group of stroke specialists who work at ThedaCare from taking new jobs with Ascension.

Those employees are at-will workers and not under contract, but ThedaCare says they were wrongfully hired away by Ascension. Attorneys for the employees say that ThedaCare was informed of their departure and declined to make counteroffers.

All sides will be meeting with a judge Monday morning, until then those employees will not be working at either hospital.
