COVID Numbers Continue To Recede In FDL County

COVID-19 numbers continue to recede in Fond du Lac County, with now less than 200 active cases being reported. There were only 8 confirmed cases reported on Wednesday, with a total count of 11,700 since testing began last March.

Almost 500 negative tests were reported on Wednesday, while 3 people remain hospitalized due to complications related to the virus. There were no additional deaths reported on Wednesday, with the total lives lost in the county related to COVID-19 standing at 85, since the start of the pandemic.

Health officials will continue to keep a close eye on the numbers over the next two weeks, following numerous large-scale social gatherings over the past weekend, and a Sturgeon spearing season that, as of Thursday, looks like it may go the full 16-days.
