COVID Numbers Trending Down Slightly

The COVID-19 numbers locally and statewide continued to offer a mixed back of tricks on Thursday, with DHS reporting an increase of 51 confirmed cases of the virus in Fond du Lac County, The number that is somewhat alarming is a jump of at least 4 more deaths reported on Thursday, bringing the county total to 50. Statewide, there were almost 14,000 tests processed on Thanksgiving Day, with just over 5,000 coming back positive. An additional 201 people were hospitalized, with 62 more deaths being reported. And while the numbers continue a slight downward trend, all eyes will start to focus on the next 10-14 days following the Thanksgiving holiday, to see if any spikes occur.
