Crash Closes Highway For 7 1/2 Hours

A crash yesterday morning near the Wisconsin Dells had I-90 closed for 7 1/2 hours while emergency crews worked, reconstructed and cleaned up the scene.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, at around 8:30 yesterday morning, a Hyundai Santa Fe with four passengers was driving eastbound on I-90/94 and lost control. The Hyundai crossed the median and crashed into two semis, that were driving westbound. Three of the passengers, including the driver, in the Hyundai had life threatening
injuries and were transported to area hospitals. One passenger was fatally injured. The drivers of both semis were not injured. The highway was reopened at 4 PM.
