Crash with injuries reported on 23 and 7 Hills Road

Mt. Calvary Fire and Ambulance, a City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue ambulance as well as Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies and three Wisconsin State Patrol troopers responded to a crash on the westbound side of State Highway 23 east 7 Hills Road Wednesday, January 10, 2023.

Preliminary information indicates that a 2020 Freightliner pulling a Semi-Trailer, operated by a 53-year-old man from Baraboo, was traveling westbound on 23 when he collided into a John Deere tractor, driven by a 62-year-old man from Mount Calvary.

The collision caused both drivers to lose control of their vehicles and to traveled off the north side of the highway. The semi unit came to rest in a marshy area about 50 yards off the roadway and the tractor came to rest in the ditch.

The driver of the tractor was transported to a Neenah Hospital for life-threatening injuries by ThedaStar Medical Helicopter. The driver of the semi was transported to SSM Health St Agnes Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The Wisconsin State Patrol worked the crash reconstruction on the incident.
