Dickens Dolls Return

The Dickens Dress-A-Doll Contest will return as part of the Dickens of a Christmas event in Ripon this fall. Contestants will receive an 18-inch doll to dress in original, removable clothes. Any theme may be chosen. Contestants may pick up their doll at the Ripon Area Chamber of Commerce office starting July 1st. There is a $20 deposit, which will be returned when the dressed doll is brought back. Dolls must be returned by November 1st. Dolls will be displayed at BMO Harris bank during the month of November through Dickens weekend. Voting for the “Best of Show” will be by money received in a canister by each doll. The money will be donated to area food pantries. Following Dickens of a Christmas, the dolls will be donated to organizations that assist youth with barriers. The winning seamstress will win a prize. There are 15 dolls available this year.
