Discover the world without leaving town at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Multicultural Festival

Want to travel the world but don’t have the budget? Discover the rich cultural heritage from across the globe without leaving the Fond du Lac Public Library during its upcoming Multicultural Festival.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., visit the library to learn more about various cultures through a fun and educational scavenger hunt, as well as a special presentation.

Community members will be at several booths stationed around the Fond du Lac Public Library, with each booth representing a different culture or country. Booths will offer interactive activities, such as games, questions, food samples, or cultural facts.

When a visitor comes to the library on August 19, they will receive a special “passport,” encouraging them to visit each of the booths to get a stamp. Once completed, they can turn in their passport to be entered in a drawing for a small prize.

Special guest speaker Mayte Peña, a local Latina businesswoman and quinceañera fashion icon, will share her inspiring story as well. She will speak at 3 p.m. in the McLane Room.

Participants will leave the event with a greater appreciation of the cultural heritage the world offers.
