Dispose Of Old Christmas Trees To Local Fishing Clubs

Local fishing clubs want your old Christmas tree.

According to Scott Blanck of the Friendship Fishing Club, clubs use the trees to mark plowed ice roads on Lake Winnebago.

The clubs drill holes into the ice and place the trees in, leaning towards the shore. A design Blanck says helps ice fisherman navigate back to shore if snow is blowing so much that they cant see where the shore is.

Blanck says if you don’t have a favorite club to donate trees to, they can be dropped off in the back lot behind Blanck’s Lake Aire Supper Club at N8751 Lakeshore Drive.
