Dodge County investigating fatal crash Thursday morning

On June 26, 2025, at approximately 6:29 am, Dodge County Deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash involving a semi pulling a tanker trailer and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of State Highway 49 at Dairy Rd in town of Leroy, Dodge County, WI. This crash occurred 2.5 miles west of the village of Brownsville.
Initial investigation showed that the semi was northbound on Dairy Road and crossing State Highway 49 after stopping at the stop sign. A BMW sedan was eastbound on State Highway 49 and crashed into the tanker trailer as the semi was crossing the highway. Assisting at the scene were Brownsville First Responders and Fire Department, Mayville EMS, Fond Du Lac Paramedics, Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, DCERT, and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
This crash remains under investigation of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team. Names are being withheld at this time pending family notification.
