Dodge County Sheriff Has Drug Crimes Initiative

One of the things new Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt will be implementing is a three-part initiative to address drug crimes in the County. It’s called TEE or Treatment, Education and Enforcement. He says it’s not doing anyone any good to arrest people who commit crimes who are on drugs if you don’t do something to treat that drug problem. He’d like to see those people assessed and put into a drug treatment program.  He says they will also go into the schools with their drug recognition experts to do some education. He says they teach both teachers and students. Schmidt says the last component is enforcement and he would like to see more full-time members on the County’s Drug Task Force. To that end he’s already appointed one new full-time member and has ideas for putting more people on the task force.
