Dodge County Sheriff’s Office carry out two recent search warrants in Lomira
Yesterday, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement to the public regarding two ongoing cases in the Village of Lomira.
In the statement, Sheriff Dale Schmidt said on December 9, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Waupun Police Department in a search warrant in the 1100 block of Main Street in Lomira. The search warrant, resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old Lomira man on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Causing a Child aged 13-18 to View Sexual Activity.
Schmidt also cleared up false information being passed on social media surrounding another search warrant in the village on January 14th, where people were saying federal agents were involved. While Schmidt said information couldn’t be released on that warrant yet, he wanted to confirm that all units involved in the search warrant were in fact Dodge County Sheriff’s Officers and not federal agents.
