Domestic violence incident leads to SWAT search warrant service

On May 15, 2026, the City of Fond du Lac Police Department SWAT Tactical and Crisis Negotiations teams, with assistance from the Special Services Division and Patrol Division, executed a search warrant at 236 Boyd Street. The warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing domestic violence investigation stemming from an incident FDLPD Officers responded to on the evening of May 13, 2026.

During the initial response, Officers were able to safely remove an adult female victim and child from the residence. As the investigation continued, Detectives developed information leading to the execution of today’s search warrant.

During the warrant service, a 48-year-old male Fond du Lac resident was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail on multiple charges.

“Our priority in situations like this is always the safety of victims, children, the surrounding community, and our Officers,” said Lt. Nick Hahn. “I’m grateful for the coordinated efforts of our SWAT Tactical and Crisis Negotiations teams, Detectives, and Patrol Officers in bringing this incident to a safe resolution while ensuring those impacted were protected throughout the process.”

This investigation remains active and ongoing. Formal charges will be referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office for review. More information is anticipated to be released if and when a criminal complaint is filed by the District Attorney’s Office.
