Door County wildfire burns 70 acres
A large vegetation fire in Door County kept local fire departments there busy Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. a brush fire was called in, in the southern portion of the county, reportedly started by a 4 wheeler.
The fire quickly spread with smoke visible from miles around.
Fire fighters from 20 different fire departments were called in to fight the blaze which took several hours to contain.
Reports on a local Facebook page said around 70 acres burned.
The last month has had very little rain fall in Wisconsin and the Wisconsin DNR has the entire state in a moderate risk for wildfires.
