Double fatal crash closes highway 21 for over 4 hours in Winnebago County
Two people were killed Thursday morning, February 5, 2026, in a head on crash in Winnebago County.
At about 9:45 a.m., the Omro Fire Department and first responders along with Southern Winnebago Ambulance were dispatched to the crash on Highway 21 near Highway K, about five miles west of Omro.
Upon arrival, responders found each vehicle with one occupant. Reports from the scene say both died at the scene. The drivers were reported to be a 32-year-old man from Berlin and an 83-year-old man from Redgranite.
No cause of the crash has been released. Highway 21 was closed at the scene of the crash for about four and a half hours while crews worked the crash scene.
