Downtown Wine Walk Sees Success

The Downtown Fond du Lac Wine Walk was a smashing success last month. The event sold out – drawing hundreds of people to the downtown area on June 15^th. Dusty Krikau with the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership says “when we host the wine walk each year, it makes a huge impact on direct spending on our downtown businesses. So this year, total spending as part of the event included $29,656 in direct spending downtown. Which is a huge number for our small businesses downtown. And regionally, that number was $38,000.”

Krikau says people were in town from places like Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago to check out the wine walk. Other money was spent on food, hotels, and other things around the community as well.
