Driver med-flighted to hospital after serious vehicle crash

The driver of a vehicle that crashed in Dodge County Saturday afternoon, June 6, 2026, needed to transported by medical helicopter to a level one trauma center.

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say at about 12:52 p.m. deputies and rescue responded to a serious motor vehicle crash on County Road T north of County Road BB, about four miles northeast of Columbus.

Initial investigation showed that the driver was traveling southbound on County Road T when she lost control. The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the opposite ditch and struck a culvert causing the vehicle to roll. The woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. She was flown via UW Med-Flight to UW Hospital in Madison.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
