Driving While Intoxicated Suspected In Area Vehicle Crashes Over The Weekend

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle crash last night on Tracks Lane, a dead end road off County Highway V south of Eden.

Shortly after 9 PM, Eden Fire Department and Campbellsport ambulance were also dispatched to the crash, but the first officer on the scene made contact with the driver
and he said he wasn’t injured.

The vehicle was on it’s side in the front lawn of the property at the corner of V and Tracks Lane.

Investigation into the crash showed the driver was three times over the legal limit for alcohol and he was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Drunk driving was also suspected as the cause of another crash in the area Saturday night.

Around 11:30 that night, the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a report of a crash on 45 near County Highway B.

Officers and EMS responded to find a vehicle had left the road and came to rest about 30 feet into a corn field.

Three people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash but all refused medical treatment. The driver in that crash was also cited for operating while intoxicated.
