Drugs and cash found by police K9 during Ripon traffic stop

A traffic stop in Ripon Tuesday night, April 28, 2026, resulted in drugs and a substantial amount of cash being found in the vehicle.

At 8:22 p.m. a Ripon officer conducted a traffic stop and during the stop, allowed a department K9 do an exterior sniff of the vehicle.

The K9 responded with a positive signal alerting of drugs in the vehicle, which gave the officer probable cause to do an interior search.

As a result, the officer located 29 grams of cocaine, 12.9 grams of marijuana and more than $3500 in cash.

Ripon Police say the passenger in the vehicle was arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail for various drug offenses.
