EAA AirVenture 2025 underway

EAA’s AirVenture in Oshkosh starts today, Monday, July 21, 2025, and lasts seven days through to Sunday afternoon.
A steady stream of planes could be heard overhead yesterday as pilots made their way to the EAA grounds for the yearly event.
Organizers anticipate that AirVenture will attract more than 700,000 attendees in 2025. More than the record-setting attendance of 686,000 recorded in 2024.
Wittman Regional Airport on the EAA grounds becomes the busiest airport in the world for the week of and surrounding days of AirVenture. Last year, 16,780 aircraft operations took place in the 11-day period from July 18-28, which is an average of 113 takeoffs or landings per hour when the airport is open.
Daily airshows mixed in with two night shows and fireworks are the highlight of the event. KFIZ will be at the fly in several of the days and will have photo galleries posted.
