Early Morning Train Accident Leaves One Dead In FDL

An investigation continues this morning into a train accident that left one person dead.  Fond du Lac Police were called just before 2:20 a.m. Sunday morning, for reports of a person who was laying on the tracks, and was hit by the train. The incident occurred on the railroad tracks near the 200 block of W. Scott St. The conductor of the train said the person was on the tracks, near the curve on the south side of W. Scott St. The medical examiner was called to the scene. The name of the person has not been released, and there were no further details as of this morning.
