Elections Commission Member Says He Won’t Resign
There are calls for he and other commissioners to resign, but Wisconsin Elections Commission member Mark Thompsen says that’s not going to happen.
“There are some Republicans that are willing to put their fellow Republicans in prison for allowing old people to vote. This is in my mind wake up time for my fellow citizens.”
Republican Representative Joe Sanfelippo has introduced a resolution calling on five of the six elections commissioners to resign, along with chief elections officer Meagan Wolfe. The resolution also refers to potential charges against the commissioners, over voting procedures in nursing homes during the 2020 election. On WISN’s UpFront Sunday, Thompsen said he doesn’t expect to be charged, although he believes the Racine County District Attorney is being pressured to do so.
