Employment Fair Runs 1-4 Today In Appleton
The Fox Cities Employment Fair will be held 1-4 pm on Thursday, March 24, at Fox Cities Exhibition Center, 355 W. Lawrence Street, Appleton. A total of 113 employers from across the region will feature a wide mix of available positions including office, service, manufacturing, healthcare, and other professional positions.
“The job seeker is now firmly in the driver’s seat,” said Anthony Snyder, CEO of Fox Valley Workforce Development Board. “We’re in a labor shortage and many of our job fair employers are offering higher wages, sign-on bonuses and other perks to get you to join their team. For someone who’s considering a career change, this job fair is a great way to see what’s out there in a relaxed and energetic environment. Bring a resume and your smile and come see where you can be working tomorrow!”
This job fair marks the first held in person in the Fox Cities since the start of the pandemic. Some of the region’s largest employers are ready to discuss new opportunities with those who are unemployed, underemployed or maybe even unhappily employed. A complete list of all current employers registered can be found on the Fox Valley Workforce Development Board web site at www.foxvalleywork.org.
Questions about the job fair should be directed to Bobbi Miller at Fox Valley Workforce Development Board at bmiller@fvwdb.com or 920-470-0837. The fair is a collaborative effort sponsored by Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, Fox Valley Job Centers, 5K Fibres, Foremost Farms, Tyson, City of Neenah, Fox Valley Technical College, Fox Cities Chamber and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
