Entries Are Being Sought For FDL Memorial Day Parade

The 2017 Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony Committee is now accepting requests for entries into this year’s parade in Fond du Lac.  The parade and ceremony will be held on Monday, May 29th.  All parade entries must have a theme in keeping with the purpose of Memorial Day; to honor and remember our deceased veterans and missing in action.  Therefore, there will be no advertising of any other events or commercial products allowed.  Additionally, there will be no distributing of candy, political materials or any other favors allowed during the parade. Floats and other parade entry requests must be submitted no later than Friday, May 19th by calling 920-929-3117 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at S. Main Street and Guindon Blvd. and will proceed north to Veterans Park.  A Memorial Ceremony will be held immediately afterward.  The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1904 is this year’s sponsoring organization.
