Evers Said Charges Should Be Filed If Election Fraud Is Legit
At an unveiling of his new fair redistricting maps, Governor Tony Evers responded to accusations from the Racine County sheriff that votes were illegally cast in a nursing home.
“If district attorneys or sheriffs or other law enforcement people in any of the 72 counties hear something they should investigate. It’s pretty simple.”
Those accusations came last week from Sheriff Christopher Schmaling, who claims that the Wisconsin Elections Commission is to blame for any possible vote tampering. Evers says if there’s a suspect in the case, that charges should be filed, but that no one is resigning.
