Fall River Teen Charged With Attempted Murder After Running Over 17-Year-Old Girl In Beaver Dam

The Beaver Dam Police Department are investigating an incident where a 17-year-old Fall River boy admitted to trying to kill a girl he met on the social media app Snapchat.

After meeting in person in the Beaver Dam Walmart parking lot, the suspect told police they drove around and ended up in the parking lot of Goodwill, next door to Walmart.

There, police say he told them he “grabbed her throat” and with a box cutter, “stabbed her a couple of times” in the shoulder.

The 17-year-old girl was able to escape the vehicle and run away when police say he admitted he went after her, running her over as she ran down a small hill.

The suspect told police he “was trying to kill her” and that he’d been having “bad thoughts about murdering people.”

The girl was taken by Flight for Life to a trauma center.

The suspect, 17-year-old Dylan Lenz, fled the scene but was later picked up at his parents house in Fall River.

He is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide. If convicted, he faces up to 60 years in prison.
