Family Of Dale Witkowski Urges Community To Be Supportive, Compassionate

He was the first one in FDL County to pass away as a result of the COVID-19 virus. Now the family of Dale Witkowski is asking you to be serious about COVID-19. Witkowski passed away March 19 following complications of the coronavirus following an Egyptian River Cruise. 

Witkowski’s family is asking that you don’t panic, but rather educate yourself and your family.  They also ask that you do not blame or shun, but be supportive and compassionate, especially with the people who have tested positive for this virus. 

The family said the country has responded too slowly and now “we are seeing devastating effects in our country, state and community and as a family.  Knowledge and mindful, safe practices are what is needed now.” A funeral service is scheduled for later this summer.
