Fatal Accident In FDL County

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say a 26-year-old Calumet County woman was killed when she ran into the rear axles of a semi-truck in the Town of Rosendale Monday morning. The accident on County Highway M at Olden Road happened at 6:19 a.m. The woman’s vehicle was westbound on Olden Road when she failed to stop for a stop sign and hit the back of the semi, which was northbound on County Highway M.  The woman’s vehicle then caught fire. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene. The semi-driver 61-year-old Kenneth Hohensee of Bear Creek, Wisconsin was not injured. The Sheriff’s Office along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Rosendale Fire Dept and First Responder and Ripon EMS responded to this incident. The crash remains under investigation.
