Fatal Accident In Sheboygan County
A
22-year-old West Bend man died of injuries suffered in a Sheboygan County
accident and two other Washington County men were injured early Saturday
morning. Sheboygan County Sheriff’s officials say Christopher Goneau went off of
Cranberry Road in the Town of Scott, struck a tree and rolled his car over
several times. After being freed from the vehicle he was flown to Froedtert
Hospital in Milwaukee where he died. Two passengers were injured.
Twenty-one-year-old Matthew Rooney of Jackson was ejected from the vehicle and
was pinned under a tree as it fell. He had serious injuries when te was flown
from the scene. A third man, 21-year-old Michael Manteufel of West Bend had
moderate injuries. Alcohol and speed were factors in the mishap.
