Fatal Crash in the Town of Theresa

One person
was killed and four others were injured in a crash in the Town of Theresa
Thursday evening. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened
just after 7 pm at the intersection of Hochheim Road and Freedom Road when a
car being driven north on Freedom Road failed to stop for the stop sign at the
intersection and collided with a pickup being driven west on Hochheim Road. The
19-year-old man from Mayville driving the car and a 16-year-old female
passenger from Theresa were both taken by ambulance to Aurora Summit Hospital
with injuries that are not life threatening. Another passenger in the car, a
19-year-old man from Mayville was killed in the crash, while another
19-year-old male passenger was flown from the scene by Flight for Life with
serious, but not life-threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup, a 26-year-old
man from rural Mayville, was transported to Aurora Summit Hospital with
injuries that are not life-threatening. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and
Wisconsin State Patrol continue their investigation into the crash. Names of
those involved are being withheld pending notification of family.
