Fatal crash reported in rural Dodge County

Friday, June 13, 2025, the Dodge County Sheriff’s department responded to a car versus semi crash on County Highway A south of County Highway S in town of Oak Grove.

Preliminary investigation shows a car was northbound on County Highway A when it failed to negotiate a slight right-hand curve, entering the southbound lane, collideding with a southbound semi. The semi came to rest across both lanes of traffic, and the car came to rest against a tree on the east side of the roadway.

The driver of the car, a 42-year-old man from Watertown, needed to be extricated from the vehicle. He was flown to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the semi was a 50-year-old from Richton Park, Illinois. He sustained minor injuries and was treated at the Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.
