FDL ALC Tables Liquor License Request

The Fond du Lac Alcohol License Committee decided it needed more time on a West Bend man’s request for a liquor license and tabled the request until later this month. Edward Daniel has proposed running the Escape House Pub & Grill at 65 North Main Street in Fond du Lac the site where JR’s Sports Bar and Grill previously operated. However a vetting committee including the police department recommended the ALC recommend denial of the license to the City Council based on four drunken driving convictions Daniel did not include on his license application and run-ins he had with West Bend Police over two licensed establishments he has there. Daniel told the vetting committee he took advice from the West Bend Police Department to correct some issues. Daniel’s Fond du Lac tavern would include pool tables, live entertainment and would serve some food.
