FDL City Council Approves Trick-or-Treating Date Change

The Fond du Lac City Council voted Wednesday night to approve a change to the city’s trick-or-treating date. With the change, the Trick-or-Treating date in Fond du Lac will move permanently to the last Saturday in October, with the hours of 3:30 to 5:30 PM remaining the same. Previously, the city’s trick or treating hours were held on the Sunday before Halloween when the holiday fell on a weekday, and on the day of Halloween when it fell on a Saturday or Sunday. A number of community members had voiced their support for the change to move the trick or treating date off of a school night, which is hopes will increase participation in the event. The change takes effect this October.
