FDL City Council Considers Online Liquor Sales Request

The Fond du Lac City Council tonight will consider a request from the Pick ‘n Save on Johnson Street to expand its premise license to include a parking lot for picking up liquor people order online from the store. A store employee would verify the shopper’s age when they pick up the order. The City’s Alcohol License Committee voted 3 to 1 to recommend to the City Council approving the request. Officials from Drug Free Communities of Fond du Lac County and the Fond du Lac County Board of Health have expressed concerns that Pick ‘n Save’s “CheckList” shopping program could contribute to underage drinking. The Council meets at 6 p.m. at the City-County Government Center.
