FDL City Council to Consider New Contract with Police Union Tonight

The Fond du Lac City Council tonight will be asked to
approve a new three-year contract between the city and the union representing
the city police department. The tentative agreement with the Wisconsin
Professional Police Association Local 12 covers 2019 to 2021 and contains wage
increases of 2.5 percent for 2019, 2.25 percent for 2020 and 2.75 percent for
2020. Other provisions of the agreement include an increase in employee premium
contributions for health insurance and an update to the contract language
regarding overtime call-ins. The remainder of the agreement remains status quo.
The council meets at 6 pm at the City/County Government Center in Fond du Lac.
