FDL City Councilman Vande Zande Resigns

Fond du Lac City Councilman Rob Vande Zande resigned from the City Council tonight. He read a statement towards the end of the Council’s regular meeting. His wife Debi has been in poor health since December and doctors haven’t been able to diagnose the reason why. Vande Zande said his priority now has to be the health of his wife and he wouldn’t be able to devote the attention to his City Council seat that it deserves. He thanked the City staff, City residents and Council members past and present. Vande Zande’s seat is up for election next April. He was in his second term. He was given a standing ovation following his announcement.
