FDL Co. Sheriff’s Office, Campbellsport PD Investigating Stolen American Flags

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with the
Campbellsport Police Department are investigating multiple reports of stolen
American flags that have happened in recent weeks.

In a post on the Sheriff’s Facebook page, both agencies
have received multiple reports of flags being stolen in and around the village.
The Sheriff’s Office also reports that they took a report over the Memorial Day
Weekend of 15 flags being stolen from graves of veterans in the Empire
Cemetery. It’s not known if the thefts are related.

Community members in Campbellsport along with the Police Department
have partnered together to provide a cash reward to anyone who provides
information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) who stole
the flags.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call
the Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement tip line at 920-906-4777, the
Campbellsport Police Department 920-533-5391, or to the Sheriff’s Office at
920-929-3390.
