FDL County Board Asks For Wind Turbine Study
The Fond du Lac County Board last night passed a resolution asking the state to do a study on the impact of wind turbines on human health. The board heard from five people who live or have lived among the wind turbines in the Towns of Calumet and Marshfield and also in the Brownsville area. Some talked choked with emotion about sleepless nights, nausea, headaches, dizziness, ringing ears, joint pain, high blood pressure, and weight gain. The only relief they say they’ve gotten is when the turbines are off or when they have moved or been on vacation. Supervisor Robert Schroeder talked about other studies that have been done then asked, “Why do we believe this study will generate the smoking gun that other studies haven’t been able to find?” Also last evening the board passed a resolution passed a resolution supporting the state’s Department of Transportation’s proposal to design and construct a park-and-ride parking lot as part of the proposed County Highway V and Highway 151 interchange.
