FDL County Executive Named To Governor’s Council On Workforce Investment

Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel is one of nearly 30 people who will be serving on the Governor’s new Council on Workforce Investment. It’s an advisory panel that will help guide efforts to advance the Governor’s agenda to prepare workers to find jobs in the modern workforce. Buechel says he was asked because of efforts to create jobs in the County and the success they had with Mercury Marine. He’s one of two County Executives on the Council. The other is Waukesha County Executive Daniel Vrakas. He says the Council is made up of a cross section of people from business, County and State Government, education and other interests. He says a big focus is on getting the right education for workers who no longer spend their careers in one job or field.
