FDL County Records 43 Positive COVID-19 Tests In One Day

September rolled in with cooler temps, and with it came a cooling of the positive COVID-19 numbers in Fond du Lac County. That was, until Thursday. Fond du Lac County had one of its largest one-day increases in positive cases, tallying 43, and bringing the county total to 1,219. It should also be noted there were over 300 total tests processed on Thursday. 

Of major concern is how county residents will act over the long Labor Day weekend, with a high volume of social gatherings expected . There were a few large swings in numbers, notably a drop of 37 active cases, as well as a gain of 80 recovered cases. We had reached out to the Fond du Lac County health department, relative to the testing, and asked if they are able to extrapolate numbers of those people tested who were asymptomatic. We were told by the department that is not something they currently do.
