FDL County Sheriff’s Department Arrests One At Gunpoint Following Traffic Stop

Traffic stops and suspects fleeing vehicles. That seemed to be theme Saturday night in Fond du Lac County.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department attempted a traffic stop at 6:45 p.m. Saturday (1/1/2022) near the corner of S. Brooke St. and Western Ave., in Fond du Lac.

As Deputies were attempting the stop, a 32-year old male proceeded to flee the scene, running behind the former Kings and Queens building.

According to Sheriff’s logs, the man was arrested at gunpoint and held on resist/obstructing, misdemeanor bail jumping and an outstanding warrant in Fond du Lac County. He was also cited for Operating after Suspension and no insurance, while also being verbally warned for improper vehicle registration.
