FDL Fire/Rescue Chief Remembers 9/11

He was a battalion Chief at the time, in Wheaton, Il., and was getting ready for a rare morning staff meeting. As Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Chief Peter O’Leary tells it, when the terrorist attacks first broke on news, it was hard to believe what was unfolding in real time.

KFIZ News had a chance to talk to Chief O’Leary and get his reflections on that day, 20 years after the fact.
