FDL Gets State Loan For Replacing Lead Pipe Water Services

The City of Fond du Lac got official word from the state this week that it is receiving a $300,000 loan to help homeowners with the cost of replacing lead pipes bringing water service to their homes. Governor Walker announced the funding for 35 municipalities that comes to a total of $13.8 million. Oshkosh, Princeton and Sheboygan are among those also receiving the assistance. The loans are forgivable meaning no debt is incurred on behalf of the municipalities for the funds.
