FDL Man Injured by Bullet While on Golf Course Monday Morning

An 80-year-old man from Fond du Lac suffered injuries that
are not life threatening after being accidentally shot while golfing Monday
morning.


According to a press release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s
Office, authorities responded to the Golf Club at Camelot near Lomira just
after 11 AM for a report of a golfer who had been injured by a gunshot.


Initial investigation found a 50-year-old Lomira man was
attempting to shoot a woodchuck on his property, when the bullet ricocheted off
some trees and hit the Fond du Lac man. The victim was transported by Theresa
EMS to St. Agnes Hospital for treatment. He is expected to be released.


The incident remains under investigation by the Dodge
County Sheriff’s Office.
