FDL Police Investigating Alleged Animal Mistreatment Case

Fond du Lac Police are looking into a possible case of
animal mistreatment at a local business after a video surfaced on Facebook
Tuesday. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein tells us they received a complaint
about the alleged mistreatment – and were made aware of the video that was
shared several times on the social media site yesterday. Klein says they
immediately assigned a detective to the case and because of the active
investigation no further details are being released at this time. The video
appears to show a worker at a pet grooming business hitting and yelling at a
dog while the dog is being groomed.

The Fond du Lac Humane Society also released a statement
Tuesday about the alleged abuse. They said in a post on Facebook that they “will
be available to provide any required shelter services that may come out of the
investigation.”
