FDL School Board Approves New Principal At Waters, Interim Principal At Pier

The Fond du Lac School Board met Monday night, and approved the hiring nominations of two positions at elementary schools within the district.

Kristin Bowers has been approved as the new Principal at Waters Elementary beginning with the upcoming 2022/2023 school year. Bowers has been the former assistant superintendent of teaching and learning within the Wauwatosa School District, but had resigned that position back in January.

The board also approved the hiring of Jenny Hughes as the Interim Principal at Pier Elementary. Hughes will take over the role that has been held by Amy Jahn, who is leaving Pier to become the principal at Parkside Elementary.

Hughes has taught in the Fond du Lac School District for 25 years, having spent her initial years at Lakeshore Elementary School. She was part of the team that started the STEM charter school nine years ago. She has a masters degree in special education and a masters in educational leadership.
