FDL School District Announces Acuity Fund Grant Recipients
The Fond du Lac School District has announced recipients of
the 2019 Acuity Fund Grants. The fund supports new and innovative programs and
projects proposed by staff members for their students. The Acuity Fund became possible
via money earned on funds paid to the school district by Acuity for naming
rights of the Fond du Lac High School Fieldhouse. A total of $28.010.47 was
available this year – $26.348.19 of it via the fund, and $1,662.28 donated by
School Board President Linda Uselmann.
The district awarded funds to the following technology projects
–Mic’d For Success – Travis Ernst at Woodworth Middle School
– $960.00
–Hello World! – Gillian King & Arik Gunderson at Woodworth
Middle School – $500.00
–Bio-Science for the Future – Laura Krause-Emerick at Fond
du Lac High School – $1,972.00
–Coding with Spheros – Heather Rapp at Sabish Middle
School – $1,399.96
–Glowforge Laser Engraver/Cutter – Greg Staerzi at Fond du
Lac High School – $4,915.00
–Classroom Media Zone – Sue Teletzke & Heather Meier
at Riverside Elementary School – $881.00
The district awarded funds to the following Non-Technology proposals:

–Hot Reads – Lisa Carns at Rosenow Elementary School – $1,778.34
–Classroom Piano Lab – Ashley Hietpas at Woodworth Middle

–Riverside Rocket Readers Blast Off at Home! – Kelly Palomeque
at Riverside Elementary School – $4,896.40
–Vision 360 – Michelle Paulson and Heather Meier at
