FDL School District Increases Daily Rate Of Pay For Substitute Teachers

The Fond du Lac School Board has approved an increase in compensation for substitute teachers in the district. Interim Superintendent of Schools Sharon Simon tells KFIZ News the pay rate for substitute teachers is something that hasn’t seen an increase in a number of years. “The last time that we saw an increase in substitute pay was 2015, so we are going to give a $5 daily increase. If people stay within the district and continue to sub 30 days or more, they would go from $110 to $115 per day.” Simon explains the district is always looking for qualified people to be substitute teachers.
