FDL Sheriff’s Office county fair text alert service hits the ground running Wednesday

The new text alert service for the Fond du Lac County Fair, implemented by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office, got heavy use during it’s first day of use, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, announcing the cancelation of the truck and tractor pulls, a tornado watch issued, the closing of the fair due to torrential rains and the potential for severe weather and then again to announce the fair was reopening after the bulk of the rain had passed.

If you want to sign up for the text alerts, text fondyfair25 to 78015. Users can opt-in and out of the list at their leisure and it will automatically expire on Monday, after the fair is over.
