FDL Woman Killed In California Hit And Run Accident

A 61-year-old Fond du Lac woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident while visiting her daughter in Santa Monica, California last weekend. Santa Monica Police say Kathryn (Klinzing) Theis and her 32-year-old daughter were crossing a street early last Saturday morning when they were struck by a car that then sped away from the scene. Theis died about an hour later at a hospital. Her daughter was treated for a broken wrist. Theis worked as a CPA and attorney in Fond du Lac for many years and lately was working here again in accounting and real estate. Police have mounted an aggressive campaign to find the driver of the car using camera footage from buildings near the accident scene.
