Festival Foods’ Taste Of FDL Junior Co-Chair Announced
Fond du Lac Festivals has announced the junior co-chair for next month’s Festival Foods’ Taste of Fond du Lac. Tad Wallender of Fat Joe’s will serve in that capacity and Jim Bradjic of A & W Drive-In is the senior co-chair. Fond du Lac Festivals Leanne Doyle says they will also have some new restaurants at the Taste. She says that includes LaClare Farms, Woodland Creek Supper Club, Big Al Capone’s, Benvenutos and Phillys will be among the 25 plus restaurants and caterers. Also this year there will be a new judging category called Eat Smart. She says that’s because a lot of restaurants are now getting requests from their patrons to feature foods that are lower in fats, sodium, sugar and calories. She says those attending the Taste will also be entertained by something called the Slice a cooking competition featuring Moraine Park Technical College culinary arts students. The Taste of Fond du Lac is Sunday, February 23rd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Expo Center. Advance tickets are available at Festival Foods, Wegner’s Office Supply and the Fond du Lac Convention and Visitors Bureau.
